Very disappointed by this book - By: EmsterPgster, 10 Aug 2010
I ordered my Morphy Richards slow cooker from Amazon last month & this was one of two books that Amazon recommended to buy with it. Absolutely useless, as the recipes all need to be adapted (by me) for using with the slow cooker. Pretty annoyed that such an unsuitable book was recommended. I feel a bit robbed!
If you're thinking of buying a slow cooker & want to get started with a good recipe book, then don't buy this one!

Another great bookin the BBC Good Food 101 range. When you've run out of ideas & want to cook something easy but also nutritious & good to look at, then these books are invaluable. Handy size, lovely photographs & short simple instructions.
There is a good variety of soups, meat, vegetarian, pasta & dessert recipes & allin one dish! Go on! Impress your family!
Pleased With this one - By: Mrs. C. Barker, 30 May 2010
Wasnt sure when i first saw this as a couple of the other reviews hadnt been too complimentary, but got it anyway, & very pleased that i did. Although our children wont eat everything we do, they are begining to be a little more adventurous & some of the recipesin this book have gone down a storm, especially the summer pork & sizzling summer cod. If we are goin to have the potato & mozzarella tortilla then i will cook extra roasties at the weekend & use thoes rather than buy pre-packed ones. One point i would make is to taste freequently as i did find some of the recipes lacked basic seasoning. Less washing up is always a bonus tho! Overall a nice little cook book for very busy people or just for someone wanting to be a little more adventurous with their mealtimes.
Simply delicious - By: M. Dean, 08 May 2010
Since buying this cook bookin January it has inspired me to vary the meals I cook during the week. I have a large number of cook books which I regularly turn to for special meals & dinner parties. This however is the first book I have used frequently for everyday meals. These recipes don't have too many ingrediants & are not complicated, but the results are simply delicious. Many of the recipes are already firm favourites, & I have cooked them for friends & family, who have gone out & bought this book & are now making these recipes for their friends.
I am still discovering new delights & this book has yet to be put away on the shelf. I would heartily recommend it.
