A good introduction to history - By: KTS, 14 Feb 2007
This book is, contrary to some views, a very good read. It is designed to make learning about the "Terrible" Tudors fun, & it achieves this with flying colours.
The book not only introduces the monarchs of the time, such as the infamous Henry VIII & Queen Elizabeth I, but also what conditions were like to live & work, what food there was available, & some Terrible Tudor customs!
Overall, a perfect book to read for children & teenagers alike, combining Terry Deary's perfect humour with facts which will stick with the reader for the rest of their lives!
A fun and very knowledgeable book!! - By: K. Duerdoth, 26 Jan 2007
I found this book very easy to read. It's one of those books you can open any page & just start reading-it kept me happy for hours! It also has very useful & useless facts. It's all putin a very funny & readable style of writing.
