Been on 4 trips to WDW & each time we bought a new version of this book. I have recommended it to friends & they have also come back saying the books was brilliant & full of great advice. A must buy if you are going to this great place.

This book is a great resource for things that many Brits will be unfamiliar within the USA - tipping customs, WDW hotels, attractions outside of the major Disney/Universal/Seaworld parks, & it is definitely something I would recommend to the first timer - butin conjunction with other resources (books, websites).
My major gripe is that the touring advice isn't particularly good, & nowhere near as thorough as it could be. Not only that, but the attraction descriptions/reviews sound like something straight out of Disney rather than objective look from an outsider.
If it's your first time going, I would recommend this ALONG WITH The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World, a visit to the DISboards (online) & WDWinfo (online), & a subscription to TourGuideMike (again, online).

I purchased this guide book based on the reviews that it is a wealth of knowledge - they were not wrong! I can see huge benefits of having this book to hand.
However, it's so full of information, that the book is chunky. It's not gigantic, but big enough not to fitin the average handbag & certainly not for pockets. I'll be packing it with me for readingin the hotel but won't be carrying it around!.
Don't go without this - By: L. Rawlinson, 01 Jun 2008 Was recommended by a friend for our 1st trip to Walt Disney, Orlando. We spend the 1st week following this bible & going to the quietest days for the parks, it worked a dream, & we'd started to think that it wasn't as busy as some people had suggested. 2nd week we just "popped" into Magic Kingdom, on what turned out to be graded as a busy day, & they were right.... people everywhere, & very hectic. We vowed not to stray from the book again!
It makes your trip even more enjoyable.
Brilliant informative book - By: Denise Schult, 20 Apr 2008 We have just come back from our 4th trip to Orlando & this is the first time we have taken a guide book but won't be our last.
The book is funny, readable, packed with information & useful tips. I read it often whilst on our trip to sort out where we should go & what we mustn't miss - it was so helpful. We visited several restaurants that we would't even had known existed without this guide & certainly took on board the advice about getting a fastpass as soon as you could for "Soarin"in Epcot (this frequently ran out by 1.00 pm each day !!)
A really enjoyable well written & interesting guide book - don't go to Walt Disney World without it !!
