you do not even have to read the original book this book tells you all the plot themes & almost everything. to conclude i feel i could of read this book & not turned up to 10 english lessons

Of Mice and Men - GSCE York Notes Guide - By: , 19 Jun 2004 Ok, so when i first looked at my coursework title my mind was sent into a swirl on where it was i was suppose to start. You know the feeling, you've probaly got pages & pages of notes, or nothing at all. These guides i found to cover most of what was neededin my exam & coursework piece. By far the best study guides around. The language used is undastandable, it's cut up into clear, obvious sections, & they come up with them vital pieces of info needed to recieve them top grades.
Of Mice & Men is an extremely deep & meaningful book, it's full of morals & steriotypes, which are protrayed quite simplyin the book, yet it's possible to miss them. York notes picked up on EVERYTHING importantin the book. From the lonleness of Crooks, Lennie & Curly's Wife, to revenge seeking Curly, & the simple minded Lennie. The book starts off my setting the scene, you get a picture of why the thingsin this books happened, mostly because of societies downfalls at the time, remember the book is written around the Great Depression.
And ok, i know what you grade A students are thinking, you probaly wrekon your way to good at English to need these books. But i was a grade A student, & these books really helped me to achieve exceptional pieces of work & A* Grades. So swallow your pride & get one!
Excellent For GCSE Revision. - By: , 22 May 2003 I bought this book a few days before my English Lit exam & it helped me considerably for preperation for the exam. The book has a summary of each chapter & a detailed insight into each chapter highlighting all of the important aspects of that chapter. Themes are very importantin the story 'Of Mice & Men' & york notes covers itin maticulate detail. The most important part of the book is the importance of each character & this book covers every detailed needed. If your aiming from A* to C for GCSE English Lit this book is the best one to use.
