Lovely book - By: Jennifer Heller, 22 Apr 2006
I love this little book, & dip into it often. The translation is very good, unlike some volumes of Rumi's work where the "translators" have given themselves rather a free rein.
For the quality of selection, however, my favourite remains Juliet Mabey's Rumi: A Spiritual Treasure which is beautifully arranged & rather easier to find your way around. But allin all a lovely book, & highly recommended.

A facinating book, very insightful & intoxicating. Its a perfect size too. A thoughtful book which I liked reading.
a loving introduction to a breathtaking writer - By: quakeyjase, 27 Aug 2003
This speaks of the intimacy of being swept up by the endless love of God, something strikingly fresh from the cold face of religion so often portrayedin media.
It is relevant & it is beautiful. Read it & see a different side to Islam.

Thank you Melita, Maryam & Rumi for the beautyin this book. You have showed us & shared with us the beauty beyond suffering, longing & passion. Thank you for this wonderful present you've offered to all those who have suffered & longed for love. And thank you for the music with which you've dressed Rumi's poemsin your concerts.
