A cynical money-grabbing tie-in - By: Dead Barney, 08 Aug 2008
I have a weakness for MMOs & their accompanying strategy guides; therefore I have a lot of them. The AoC guide is far & away the worst I've ever come across. It is little more than a reprinting of information available in-game: weapon, combo, armor & spell descriptions. And like most of the descriptions were at the launch of the game, they are pretty much useless.
The newbie island of Tortage is covered to an acceptable degree but after that the material just gets thinner & thinner until the mid-to-high level areas of the game get little more than a screenshot of the in-game map with nothing marked on it.
It is always the case that MMO guides will go out of date as the game grows & evolves, but I strongly suspect this guide was already obsolete well before the game was launched.
In short, as waste of good paper. Avoid.

The official forums offer far more information than you'll getin here. The US onesin particular are full of stickyed threads offering play guides & tips. Though you can't post on the US forums with a European account.
The real problem with a printed guide like this is that there have been fundamental changes made to the game since launch & there's no sign of it stopping any time soon soin six months time the game revealedin this guide will be unrecognizable.
Rubbish - By: Mr. D. Anderson, 01 Jul 2008
Does not offer any information at all above what you can figure out easily from the game. No tips on using combos / spells, no detailed information on how attributes affect damage / health / mana / stamina etc, no information on sellers or auction house, very brief (ie useless) information on quests. The maps don't show level ranges. There is not even an index FFS!
Don't buy it.
