This is a brilliant book, especially for student nurses. I had to do an intergrated critique of a qualitative & quantitative research article, & of all the books that were recommended to me, this was my bibile. it had all the answers to my questions & was generally brilliant! would highly recommend it to anyone!

It has helped me to understand the research process & has greatly assisted my critique assignment. The chapters are well laid out & the language Colin uses is user friendly. The glossary of terms is excellent. This book will also help me for my final year's dissitation & beyond. I highly recommend this new edition, well worth the money, a very good buy.

This book is always high indemand at the university library, which is the reason I am investingin myown copy! A good basic groundingin the research process, which inspiresand increases confidence to delve deeper into the subject.
