A quick easy read - By: wayne, 26 Oct 2008
I started this bookin the helicopter on the way to work (offshore) & had finished it 4 hours later. All these James Patterson endorsed? books seem to be very easy to read & don't take a lot of brain power which is just what you need to keep you going through the day.
As with quite a few of his book there is a twist at the end which is quite good though not as surprising as others he has done like Beach Road.
Allin all a good read if you want something to pass the day.
Quickie?? Too Right!!! - By: Mavi, 14 Sep 2008
The Quickie is exactly that if you are looking for a short read that you just cant put down, this is the book for you. With Several twists a couple of which are surprising & you maybe have to suspend your belief's a bit with a few polt holes, but still well worth a read.
What a shame! - By: Lizzy D, 18 Aug 2008
I loved James Patterson books! I satin a tent,in France,in the stifling heat, reading "when the wind blows" & could NOT put it down. I loved the Alex Cross books - pacey & gripping, but OH NO!!! What was this?? I agree, there were twists, but they came towards the end of the book - you had the majority out of the way before the twists, then they seemed to be squashed in, as an afterthought - the first half was loooong - appreciate we're trying to build tension here, but pffff! I was just really frustrated! If I hadn't spent some hard earned petrol money on it, I'd have given up.
James, take time out, you can't need the money that much!
Give it a while, then come back, all zesty & fesity, like you used to be!! We miss the old you!
Far fetched shallow rubbish - By: Mr. Gary Wilson, 16 Aug 2008
I have read quite a few James Patterson books - found them great well paced thrillers. This is absolutely rubbish, lazy, far fetched, shallow & I couldnt even finish it, I found it so annoying. I wont be buying anymore Patterson books
Exciting and a real page turner - By: crime reader, 26 Jul 2008
I enjoyed this book, it may not be the world's greatest piece of lierature ever written but for an easy to read page turning thriller it hits the mark. I love the short chapters, I always think they make a book that bit more readable, & this is one where you just have to keep reading a bit more. I didn't particularly think it was far fetched as some other reviewers did, it's exciting, enjoyable & what more do you want of a thriller?
