Tia Chi: Supreme Ultimate Exercise for Health, Sport and Sel- By: Sandy Cooksley, 18 Apr 2005 Excellent, so pleased that this is nowin print again. Have been waiting for this for a while. An excellent book recommended to all who are practising tai chi with a teacher. If you are studying alone it would be hard to know all the little important points on safety of movement especially as us westerners don't spend 20 years studying other martial arts first as was normally the practice for students who want to study tai chiin the east. The photos of professor Cheng Man-Chuan are excellent & this book is a must for anyone studying this form of tai chi remember these are the photos of the master who devised this form what more can a student ask for now that the master is no longer with us & so we can't be a direct student of his.hokie cover, but marvelous photos of Cheng Man Ching- By: , 19 Aug 1999 The photos on the cover have varied over the thirty years this book has been printed. My preference is the original one with Chen Man Ching vice the leotard clad dancers, old people, etc. that had evolved from marketing. This book is a classic. The highest point are the photographs of Chen Man Ching. What an example of elegant & correct Tai-chi.Best tai chi book on the market.- By: , 16 Mar 1998 Cheng Man-ch'ing & Robert W Smith do an excellent job of showing the western readers the real traditional tai chi. With over 275 pictures & 122 diagrams Robert Smith continues to produce the high quality books he is famous for. I would recomend this book to all serious martial artists.
