A little Americanised, but great food for thought... - By: , 20 May 2003
I have found this book one of the MOST inspiring written about Unitarianism/liberal faith. To begin with it felt far too Americanised for a conservative Brit like me but I quickly became comfortable with its style.
It won't really tell you much about the UU church or its history, but it will stimulate your mind & give you many new ideas about how to view your own faith (or lack of)!
A pretty exciting book. - By: Dr. Pmw Hackett, 26 Aug 2001
This is a very nice book which describes Unitarian Universalism from the points of view of the 2 authors who are both well informed on historical & contemporary aspects of the movement. A very easy & inspirational read.

This book covers a broad range of UU issues, yet seems to nail the essence of the tradition very well. I highly recommend it to any open-minded thinker with an interestin authentic & honest religion.
A really refreshing book - By: , 25 Apr 1999
Although this was a book about belief, it never forced any view or opinion on the reader. The writing was impeccable, & the chapter divisions were easy to understand. Most of all, it was inspiring. Livingin the Bible Belt, this was a book that made me feel hopeful about the state of the world, evenin the midst of so much prejudice & fanaticism. Wonderful, wonderful book! I recommend it wholeheartedly.

Out of Recommendation from a friend I bought this incredible book & surprisingly, I proceeded to enjoy the openmindedness this religion has to offer. A Chosen Faith has shown me a whole new perspective on the Unitarian Religion, & although I was raised under a Catholic background. This incredible book has changed my views on life emphasizes equal respect towards people of all religions & cultures. The book has taught me the virtues of Unitarianism, & I am now proud to say that it has changed my life. This book is a must read for anyone interestedin a religion/philosophyin which you are free to question the soul, choose your own morals & experience openminded love towards one another. 5 stars
