Intriguing- By: Terry Smith, 09 Jul 2008 Peter Fenwick is a Neuropsychiatrist & is considered to the leading British clinical authority on the process of dying including end of life experiences, actual death experiences & temporary death experiences. This is not a clinical study as such because it relies on anecdotal evidence of something that cannot be imperically measured. What Dr. Fenwick does is to group together the variety of experiences from carers, family members & what is intriguing is the remarkable similarity of content. Intriguing & interesting. The Art (or Science?) of Dying.- By: Mr. B. J. Cleary, 05 Jul 2008 A fascinating book which contains much persuasive anecdotal material. Unfortunatelyin Chapter 11 the authors feel they have to deal with the question of paradigm shiftin the scientific community & their philosophical (I cannot speak for their scientific) arguments are less successful. They MAY be justifiedin their conclusions - I pray that they are - but there is a long journey ahead before any meaningful PROOF can be attained. Nonetheless, a very significant contribution to the debate.
