A really good book that will get you laughing - especially the bit when the pig gets stuck under a table!

John Terry was my GCSE biology teacher, lovely man, great books all of them based on stuff that happened to him & his classes.
my thoughts about pigs in the playground - By: , 16 Nov 2003
I went along with my primary schoolin 1985 or 1986 to warickshire to meet John Terry at the school he teached at. It was the first time I had met someone 'famous' & he signed my book that I was given. It was excellent reading all about all the experiences they hadin the book, as at our primary school we also had cowsin an old shed which we had reared, & two pigs & chickens as well. I read the book later onin life while at schoolin my last year of school & had to do work on the book, which brought back lots of great memories. Then last week after moving house I come across my pigsin the playground book & had to read it, this was 10 years since I read it at school & nearly 20 years since the first time around. I was just playing around on the net & thought I would typein the words John Terry & see what happened & was very surprised to see it come up with details & reviews. The book is the best farm book I have ever read & the funniest too.

I got this book for my birthday one year when I was about 13. I have always been interestedin animals & have the ambition to become a vet. I found the book funny & occasionally informative. It is a brilliant book, light-hearted & interesting. A book you can really "get stuck into!"
