As ever Miriam is brilliant. I'm getting this book for each set of my children's Grandparents, who have done so much to help my wife & I with the amazing but tough task of parenting. As a parent & headteacher, I'm really interestedin the impact that Grandparents havein the family & community. Many of the parents at my school could not cope without Granny & Grandpa. In an age where the government is pushing for 8am-6pm Day Care, I'm increasingly interestedin the role grandparents can playin teaching & caring for the new generation. In 'traditional' societies grandparents are Elders & definitely to be respected. But Grandparents need to be appreciated & rewarded. I think the real 'Sure Start' is involving Granny & Grandpa!!
