Unlike other books on qualitative research methods, this book is practical & guides the reader through the stages of developing grounded theory. This second edition provides illustrative examples which clarify what could otherwise be a dry exposition of methodology & help the novice researcher understand how the method looksin practice. If anyone is looking for a handbook on grounded theory, this is the one to get. The book has been kept to a manageable size so there has not been space to discuss this particular methodin the context of qualitative researchin general but the authors make a convincing case, nonetheless.

It is very thouroughin providing guidelines & procedures. All putin an easy to read format.
Based on my personal experience & struggle with other research books, I strongly recommend it.
