I heard about Dean Radin on a BBC "Horizon" TV programme earlier this year, the subject of which was decision-making. Radin was taking about experiments apparently showing people can predict what kind of picture is going to flash up before them. This is coveredin Chapter 10 of this book, "Presentiment".
I am not a scientist, & struggledin particular with physics at school. This means much of this book was lost on me, so I can't tell you whether or not it was convincing. If you have a fundamental understanding of quantum physics, you will get more out of it.
The first 11 chapters were plodding descriptions of experiments & meta-trials. It was pretty dull (to someone who doesn't understand science) so I have to give it 3 stars for that. There are loads of referencesin the back, though, for the benefit of those who can get their heads round this kind of thing.
Chapter 12 onwards gets better, as Radin proposes some theories of how psi might work & how it ties up with quantum physics. I still didn't really get much, but I've now got an appetite to find out more.

You have to admire the integrity & courage of Dean Radin, his willingness to break with scientific convention & risk ostracism. In this book he puts forward an indisputable case for the reality of the 'paranormal', which would surely convince any open-minded person. Not only that, this book is very readable & entertaining. A must read for all the sceptics out there!
An excellent, well written and convincing tome - By: P. Wagner, 14 May 2006 This book, like dr Radins previous work "the conscious universe" is a well written, well researched & entertaining book that sheds light on the truth behind the reality of psychic phenomena. But unlike other "new agey" or "spacey" books he backs his claims up with facts & hard data that is undeniable. He also does not fall into the trap of other books on psi phenomena of taking it to far & going off on flights of fancy. He says "there is proof for psychic abilities, but that does not mean that aliens etc" & while he does nod towards the fact that large scale psi-effects may be possible, he does not take it out of proportion or make any claims that are unsubstanciated. He remains level headed & scientific throughout the book without boring the reader with scientific jargon & graphs. It is the best balanced, most sensible & best written bookin its genre & i cannot recommend it enough.
