Yet another excellent book on Taoism by a very knowledgable practitioner of the Taoist arts. This book gives an extensive overview of various aspects of Taoism, giving a comprehensive view of the history of this very old & fragmented philosophy. Split into three sections the first deals with the history of Taoism from it's originsin shamanism to it's modern synthesis with Buddism & Confucianism. The second section deals with systems of Taoism including divination, internal alchemy, ceremony & magic. The third section deals with the practices of the different systems. A very thorough book, highly recommended.
