Best manga series ever! - By: A. Weaver, 11 Aug 2007
I know there really isn't any pointin me writing this review because you probably all ready love the series, & as this is volume five, assuming you are up to four, you will need to buy this one if you ever hope to progress beyond it; but... I just love Fruits Basket so much! I had to write a review for it!
So, this volume finds Tohru & the gang going on holiday for a couple of chapters. We learn more about the existing characters, & as always, we meet a bunch of new ones. The art is fantastic as usual & the little comments Takaya leaves throughout the manga are always welcome.
This series just keeps getting better & better; I just adore Fruits Basket. This series has everything all packed into every single volume, so if you are new to manga & are thinking about getting into Fruits Basket, I recommend you do it right now! Obviously start from volume one though. They are all just so cute & funny you can't help but fall for all the characters. I think so far my favourite two characters have got to be Hatsuharu (I love his sense of fashion) & Saki Hanajima - she is just so cool!
Enjoy Furuba!
fruits basket vol 5 - By: fairy girl, 10 Jul 2006
I have now read the first 5 booksin this series & have the next 2 on order. This is one of those books that I just cant put down. It has everything humour, drama, action & even a touch of romance. I particularly loved the fact that the author introduced lots of new characters. I would recommend that if you look at this book & think its not your regular read you should give it a try it will surprise you.
FURUBA VOL 5- just fabulous! - By: S. Samraoui, 07 Feb 2005
Fruits Basket is just one of those stories that gets more beautiful with every volume you read, & volume 5 is no exception.
First up, Shigure manages to manipulate everyone (including the stern but handsome Tori-nii!) into a Golden Week vacation at the Sohma lake house. But Yuki & Kyo are on worst terms than usual, can a little help from Tohru get them fighting like cat & mouse again?
And then- meet Kisa Sohma, the sweet little tiger that Hatsuharu has been wandering aroundin the rain looking for. Why did this adorable little girl run away from home?
With a little understanding from the kind hearted Tohru everything will work itself out!
A really great continuation of the previous volumes, & I just can't wait to see what happens next!
