Great book that give insight into people characters at work - By: , 20 Feb 2006
I have read this book, its funny & well written by the author. The book title says it all. Everthing that is writtenin the book sums up how various people behavein the office such as how they get on with their boss & their collegues & how office politics develops & grows. In brief this book has good information if you struggle to get on with peoplein your office & hate your job.
As the book title suggests, these people are divided into 50 & each is given a name such as The Bully, The Moaner, The Egotist The Nitpicker etc The book is dividedin its contents according to who they are as above. A description of the general characteristics of each is given say for the bully, & ratings are given according to annoyance, rarity, seasonal variations & avoidance/revenge strategies.
A really interesting book to read & i strongly recommend it to anyone who doesn't like their work & is going through hellin working with peoplein their office. A must read!!! don't miss it!!
At last someone who is willing to expose our work colleagues - By: , 21 Dec 2004
I'm sick to death of work, so why aren't you. If you are tired of all the cretins you have to work with, then this is the book for you. Deeply satirical & so accurate, it may not make your working life any better, but at least it gives you the ability to vent your spleen. If you hate your workmates, then get this book now!
Accurate, funny and scary all at the same time! - By: A worker, 22 Oct 2004
This book is amazing. It has every conceivable painin the backside work colleague you can ever hope to meet. I reckon if I workedin an office with all of them I would go insane. Mind, you I'm not far off now. I loved the Bowel Mover, so spot on. I don't think I will ever go to the toilet at work ever again. Our office is full of Competitors & Egotists which is a real drag. I am going to give the book to HR & get them off their fat butts to do something about this. I commend it to wage slaves everywhere as it gives you some amusementin an otherwise dull existence (at work of course!).
I laughed so much that I coughed up some blood. - By: Mr Jeff Thistle, 23 Sep 2004
This book is quite simply excellent. I picked up a copy yesterday & read it on the train going home (the previous book "Pains on Trains" inspired the purchase) - I managed to get into a laughing/coughing fit whilst reading the section on "The Company Bike" & got into such a state that I nearly soiled myself. I have brought it into the office today & am showing the relevant sections to some of the tossers that I work within the vain hope that they might change their behaviours accordingly.
