Making Babies the hard way - it is very true - By: A Harris, 06 Jun 2007
I have read quite a few books on the challenge of infertility & fertility treatment & none of them capture the emotional, financial & relationship issues as well as this one does. A brilliant part talks about the unhelpful things that people say & the helpful things that people say & should be read by everyone who is touched by fertility issues amongst family & friends.
It really was like listening to my own personal dilemma's, thoughts, hopes & fearsin a very real & honest way.
I am so greatful to Caroline & Bruce for having the courage to tell it like it is.
A searingly honest account of what infertility treatment really involves - By: Toast the Ghost, 31 May 2007
This book is a 'must read' for anyone considering or having fertility treatment, & for their friends, relatives & professionals. The different treatments available & what they involve are clearly explained & very useful, but what is most relevant & graphically described was the impact of comments made by well meaning friends, family & even experts - as well as the cumulative effects of the treatment itself - on the couple's relationship. We get the 'his & hers' points of view, so it's not just an eye opener, but a real tear-jerker too.
