I received this book as a gift, & also as a cheeky hint that I could improve my culinary skills if I really wanted to! It has surprisingly encouraged my desire to cook something to be shared & be proud of, & I loved that it was a combination of travel writing, memoir & recipes all entwinedin one narrative. Both engaging & entertaining, & easy to follow whilst cooking.

I have just finished reading this one & thought it was an amazing little book. I don't know if I would have picked this up myself not being very foodie, but my girlfriend gave it to me because she was sick of doing all the cooking, & after reading it & i was plesently surprised! Very easy recipes & really good stories. The best part is, I cooked for my girlfriend the Lemony Pork Chops from page 194 & she actually ate them!
