My baby's favourite book! - By: S. Jones, 28 Aug 2008
I never write reviews but I have literally just bought this book - & never had such an amazing response from my 8 month old with any toy or book. It is really lovely, bright & colourful with fantastic fabrics & materials for baby to touch. He couldn't stop stroking it & touching the materials. Money very well spent - perfect for a baby 6 - 12 months I would think.
We just love this book! - By: R. Elliott, 20 Mar 2008
I only bought this book when Amazon recommended it whilst I was looking for a different one, but it couldn't have been much better suited to my son's taste. He loves touchy feely book & tends to lose interestin books that don't have some sort of texturein them. He also loves singing songs & doing little actions & it turned out that this book had all his favourites like 'The Wheels on the Bus' & 'Row Your Boat'. He was soon swaying along & humming little tunes. It has become an instant favourite. What a find! If your child likes the 'That Not My...' books then they'll love this.
A brilliant book for babies & toddlers - By: P. Dickson, 13 Nov 2007
I borrowed this from the library at first & my 8 month old daughter loved it so much I bought it. She is now 2 & a half & still gets it out to read almost daily. When she was younger she really enjoyed feeling all the different textures & hearing the rhymes & now we play at finding the little picturesin the big picture & counting the various things. I think the book's size & the fact that the textured parts are large really helps this be a wonderful book for babies/toddlers to enjoy. I now have a 4 month old & have already started reading this book with him. After 2 years even I am still not bored of it!
Who knew reading could be such fun.......... - By: J. Creasey, 26 Sep 2007
This has been a wonderful book. Even though my baby is only 6 months, he loves all the colours & textures. I highly recommend these range of books.
My son's favourite - By: Ms. Sarah Cade, 28 Aug 2006
This book has been part of my son's bedtime routine almost every night from 5 months old to 1 year. He loves to feel the textures, turn the pages & poke his fingers through the holes cut between the pages. The pictures are bright, colourful & because they are simple, bold pictures, it is easy to show your baby a house, a bird, a cat, etc. Because this is a rhyme book, I have not become bored with it, as you can sometimes just read the rhymes straight from the book, & sometimes sing the rhymes & do the actions if you know them. Each double page features one big picture, illustrating the rhyme, on the left hand page, & then a series of little round pictures or textures on the right hand page. Each of the patterns or texturesin the little round pictures, form part of the main illustration, so you can ask your child to search for the matching pattern. This is beyond my son at the moment, but does mean that there should still be some mileagein looking at this book when he is around two years old.
