An Intresting Read - By: S. Smith, 17 Feb 2008
I own each F1 review video, dvd & now a book from each year & this 2007 book is identical to the other official booksin that it follows the tried & tested format.
Each race has about 8 pages containing all the time & laps stats for the weekend, a quick comment of the race from each driver & a short report usually focusing on the lead battles. As ever the rest of field is always neglected which annoys me personally as I support some of the littler teams but it's how each book has always been since Murray doesn't do his yearbooks anymore.
Apart from that, there's a panel that judges the drivers & ranks themin order of performance, the usual Hamilton worshiping that F1 seemed to do this year (although notin massive droves thank god) & a good deal of technical info. The pictures (of which there are many) are also very good too.
Must have for F1 fans - By: N. S. ALSINAN, 17 Feb 2008
The book is very good as were the past editions. Official information on one of the most interesting - spy flaged-close raced-team mate rivalry seasonin recent times.
I am not sure about the one star review here, but Schumi was not racingin 2007, so i am not quite sure one star is fair for this mistake by the publisher.
also, the new DVD 2007 Season Review is good addition, they really up'ed the quality on the production. Getting them booth is a must for any fan.
Don't let one mistake put you off-this is F1 good! - By: Wessex Wheels, 10 Jan 2008
Fantastic book if you want to read about what really went on during the season from the horses mouths! The Round Table piece, is fantastic - nice to hear F1 team people being honest.. Team technical pages are fascinating, with lots of detail I haven't seenin the F1 magazines, like why Renault were suddenly so slow because of a dodgy tyre on a wind tunnel model! Brilliant race coverage, with some amazing photos. I used to buy Autocourse every year, but bought official book last year, much better for F1 fans & a real insider's view of what's going on, plus better printing for half the price. Shame about schumacher appearingin the Monaco results, but it's the only mistake I found, after reading the whole book over Christmas. This book is the best F1 yearbookin my opinion.
Official Formula One Season Review? - By: Mr. K. I. Read, 02 Jan 2008
With the title bearing the words Official I would expect this book to be accurate. I use it to check the statistics that I have collected over the course of the season. Imagine how disappointed to discover that a certain Mr Michael Schumacher totally dominated practice & set the fastest lap at the 2007 Monaco Grand Prix & that Tiago Montiero set the slowest lap of the race. How many other of the given statistics are wrong? If you are going to declare yourself as a 'Official Review' at least try & get it right.
