I brought this as a birthday present for my 2 year old & she loves it. The flaps are pretty hard wearing - we've had one rip so far, but its a firm favourite. It took us a week to realise that there was actually a miniture bookin the present at the end, which I thought would get lost immediately, but she puts it back everytime so it's there for the next time we read it. As with other Lucy Cousins books, the illustration is so bright it's very appealing to little ones. Another winner!

I only bought this book originally because I found itin a sale but I haven't looked back since & havein fact bought another 4 Maisy books on the strength of it! To give you an idea of how popular this book is, I think it is now more Sellotape than paper! The flaps are fantastic, showing first the description then the present. My daughter knows it off by heart but we still have to do itin the right order so she can "guess" the present. I am ashamed to admit that it took us several reads to discover the little bookin the last present but this makes the whole book doubly enjoyable - she loves "discovering" it as much now as she did the first time!
