This truly is the only book you'll need to make (amongst other things) gorgeous jewellery, the technique descriptions are clear & easy to follow with both photographs, diagrams & written instructions.

I bought this book as an intermediate beader after hearing many good words about it. And I do find it's a great book for beginners to learn new techniques from stringing to seed beading & wire crochet. Not a book for people looking for different projects, but exactly what it claims to be: an encyclopedia to use as reference for learing. A starting point for new beaders that I would recommend.

An inspirational gallery is included at the back - it will make you want to create something just as beautiful.
An absolute must for anyone wanting to know how & where to start with a few beads. Buy it.
An Introduction to beading - By: S. Penelope, 30 Apr 2007 Excellent general introduction to the many ways you can use beads.
Although the book covers a lot of different techniques, the instructions & illustrations are clear & easy to follow.
So if you are venturing into the field of beads, but not yet sure what you enjoy doing, you can experiment with the various techniques & then if you want to concentrate on just one, such as embroidery, you can go ahead & buy a more specific book.
It certainly helped me decide what I prefer doing.
