One of the best Ra's Al Ghul stories - By: BatDan, 04 Oct 2008
I approached this with some trepidation having been unimpressed with 'Batman & Son'- Grant Morrison's last effort at a Batman comic - but I needn't have worried. This is an excellent story.
Ra's Al Ghul has always been one of my favourite villains & this is one of the better stories featuring 'the Demon's Head'. It is well written by Dini, Morrison et al, & the artwork is consistently very good. Even Damian (Batman's son) is less irritating this time, although I still don't like the character & still don't see that he adds anything to the Batman world.
This classy package tells the story of Ra's Al Ghul's attempt to find a suitable host body for his ancient spirit, with Damian being his preferred candidate. Batman, Robin & Nightwing attempt to stop him, even working with Talia at times, although the daughter of the demon has her own agenda.
I would recommend this book to any serious Batman fan & I thoroughly enjoyed it. The characters are all well drawn & written by a top quality team of writers & artists, & even the new characters are interesting & worthwhile. This is certainly worth the extra money for the hardback edition.
