My nine-year-old son loves these stories, & will actually read on beyond the minimum number of pages I tell him he has to get through, which is a huge endorsement. There are still plenty of pictures to help young readers, but you won't find one on every page, so this series of books is ideal when a child first moves on to serious reading.

My 7 year old son just loves these books!
He has read all of series 1 & 2 over the summer months & cannot wait to get his hands on series 3.
These are a great collection of books for young readers, esp with the collector cardsin the back, brilliant idea!
