This is not an annualin the true sense of the word (No quizes, wordsearches or short stories).
There is an awful lot of very small writingin this storybook & a comic strip, so it probably best you don't give this to younger child.
Older children (and adults) will love this book though.

Firstly a quick word for the uninitiated, as with last year there are effectively two Doctor Who annuals published this year - the 'Doctor Who Annual 2008' is a cheap & nasty item padded out with pointless filler material & should be avoided unless you are under 5 years old, the 'Doctor Who Storybook 2008' however is an infinately more classy proposition, featuring 1 comic strip & 7 illustrated text stories, & will be appreciated by older fans.
As to the quality of this years Stoybook it isn't QUITE up to last years, but then it had a very high bar to reach. Still, if you're looking for a PROPER annual that will give you more than 5 minutes reading time, THIS is the one to buy!
