Overall a solid piece of fiction - By: , 12 Jul 2001
This is the second X-Files title that i've read, the first being "Antibodies". In "Ground Zero" the author demonstrates clear understanding/opinion into Mulder & Scully's relationship & their interdependance on one another. This is presented is a fairly stylised yet believable manner, with both characters existing as seeminlg intellignet entities, not merely as narrative devices, asin "Antibodies". So, if you're a fan of the relationship between Mulder & Scully, this title shouldn't dissapoint. The plot & characters themselves are not quite as compelling as thosein "Antibodies", but the overall effect is one of a good, solid & genuinely ambitious storyline. This novel certainly does not have the gritty realism it could have, but makes for a nice few days' reading nonetheless. Recommended.
NICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - By: , 08 May 2001
In a word, incredible. Absolutely stunning. Better than any novel I had read up to this time & still one of the greatest books I have ever read.
The plot goes from a standard (censored as it ruins the plot) to an incredibly surprising(censored as it ruins the plot). It horrified me, made me laugh & scared mein equal measure, & for that you know you're reading a good book.
I seriously reccommend this to anybody, even if you are a fanatical X-FILES hater, you will enjoy it. Even if you've never read a book, or you've read all the others, read this one. It is incredible. Really, trust me. Don't miss out, because if you don't read this, you will.
Highly reccommended, as both a brilliant X-Files novel, a brilliant book & a downright brilliant piece of literature.
