An interesting insight into the starting a business. - By: C. J. Vincent, 13 Aug 2008
An interesting insight into starting, running & making a success of a business.

First off, I'm not a big reader.... I start many books & rarely finish any of them. This one I did finish.... Thatin its self is the biggest compliment I can make.

It was easy to read, interesting & I understood the points Rachael was making.
I liked the layout & the fact it covered many different type of businesses, entrepreneurs & particular challenges. By the end of it I was plotting my best ideas of business opportunities.... I think I'll be visiting the web-links next to assess my likelihood of success.

Very good book, but lacks some depth - By: Aspiring Entrepreneur, 11 Aug 2008
This is a good & honest book, which goes someway to explain some of the problems faced by a variety of entrepreneurs. The author explains through example, what problems were faced by entrepreneurs, & how they overcame them. The only negative comment I would have, was the lack of detail, & depthin the problems faced by the entreprenuers. Still none the less a useful book if you are about to start up on your own.
Great Business Read - By: A. J. Rothwell, 17 Jul 2008
Really enjoyed this book - I like reading collections of business experiences & it's inspiring to read about when things haven't gone to plan. It's engaging & as others have mentioned, hard to put down.
Rachel is refreshingly candid about her experiencesin business - including the Red Letter Day problems.

There are much better books to be had - By: Mr. Sam Richards, 12 Jul 2008
An interesting book on the surface but frustrating to read, as she just doesn't go into enough detail on the issues the entrepreneurs had & how they over came them to be really useful. I've also got to say some of Rachel's comments i.e. on doing business internationally don't seem relevant as by her own admission - she's never done it!
If your looking for a good book on business nightmares try 'boo hoo', James Dysons 'Against all odds' or 'Anyone can do it' the coffee republic story, these are all great!
A must read for aspiring entrepreneurs! - By: K. Fleming, 19 May 2008
I read this book cover to coverin a couple of hours (which is highly unusual for me!) For entrepreneurs or anyone interestedin business I'd definately recommend it. There are valuable lessons to be learnedin each chapter with interviews & tales of high profile entrepreneurs successes & failings, & most importantly how they over came them.
The story of Red Letter Days features throughout the book but doesn't dominate at all.
It's hard to imagine a more interesting or varied business book than this one!
