Well structured and enjoyable - By: G. Venco, 23 Feb 2010
Knowing nothing about Cornwall, I chose this book to have a good overview of all areas, but I found it's given me quite a lot of details on the important aspectsin each part of Cornwall, which helped me make a informed decision on where to visit. I liked the way it is organised, a chapter for each region & sections inside each region. Interesting reading on the history, good book overall; the only unsatisfactory aspect for me was the small directory for finding accommodation.

This guide was very helpful on holiday. Its simple, clear & sensible approach means that it was easy to use & very informative. I would recommend it to any one visiting Cornwall
At last - an honest guide book for Cornwall! - By: J. Brown, 19 Aug 2009
I have been on holiday to Cornwall many times & have read a number of guidebooks. This one really stands out as a truly informative & accessible guide to Cornwall. It is full of really interesting snippets, of fantastic ideas for visits/experiences that aren't necessarily the usual "emmet" activities & I can honestly say, helps you make the most of your holiday. An excellent guide & well worth the money.
Just the one criticism - Perranporth deserves a better review than it gets.
First visit to Cornwall - By: Susan Roberts, 26 May 2009
Having spent too many years not going to Cornwall because it seemed too long a journey we finally decided to go! We bought this book a couple of weeks before the holiday & read it before we left. It is well written & entertaining giving lots of local information, where to visit, where to eat & where to buy good local food. We particularly liked the local people's views givenin each chapter. Probably a bit too much about where to stay as you are likely to have already booked before you buy the book. We'll have it to hand though for our next visit which won't be long as we enjoyed our timein Cornwall so much!
A great buy - By: Christine Voce, 21 May 2009
This book is such a useful guide & Lesley Gillilan makes it an easy & entertaining read. The book combines practical information on what to see, where to eat & where to stay with fascinating local insights. I particularly liked the 'local knowledge' sectionsin which Cornwall residents share what they like best. The only thing that lets this book down is the photography; very dull.
