Theories of Childhood - By: L. Frampton, 18 Aug 2008
I am studying a foundation degreein Early Years, I have found theorists a bit confusing. I was introduced to this book recently & have found it very useful when writing assignments as it is writtenin a way it is easy to understand & follow.
Promises much - By: J. Arbuckle, 30 Mar 2008
This book promises much but is writtenin a rather patronising manner & while making the effort to be understandable (and succeeding) manages to lose the reader's interest. It gives very high level vignettes of the major theorists & might be good for those with little exposure to working with theories.
BUY IT YOU WONT REGRET IT - By: W. Towgood, 03 Feb 2007
Its not easy to find the theory or theorist you need to support your assingnment at the best of times. Believe me this make the job a lot easier. It gives you enough to know where to look for more indepth information. BUY IT

Cannot get your head around theorists? Anyone taking a childcare course should have this book, because love them or not you have to deal with them & this book is the best, it covers the essential work of five theoristsin a clear straighforward way that is easy to read & understand. I came across this book looking through Amazons selection thought I would try it & have recommended it & used it as a reference many times since.
