Simple and effective! - By: R. Jenkins, 04 Sep 2007
I bought this book from a charity shop (less than a fiverin the end!) & I found it jam-packed with excellent ideas for helping the world to be a better, friendlier, cleaner, happier place to live in. Some of the suggestions are so simple I doubt I would have thought of them, that's often how it is when things are staring youin the face. Actions from turning the tap of when brushing your teeth, to giving blood, to simply smiling & smiling back. An excellent book & worht more than just a fiver.

Simple things that add up to an excellent attitude. :)
The book has amusing drawings, a pack of seeds to plant to grow your own Christmas trees & a bundle of links & suggestions to help you go green gently & with fun distinctly on the agenda. This book is fluffy but it will make you smile. 8/10.
Great ice-breaker! - By: Matthew O'leary, 03 Nov 2006
This is the kind of book that you cannot wait to tell your friends about. Great dinner party conversation fodder! Most of all, a genuine source of information on waysin which you can make significant changes to the world around you very easily, at very little cost. I can't think of a better book to buy a loved one for Christmas.
Great Christmas gift! - By: , 25 Nov 2005
It’s rare to find a book that gives you a warm glow & a giggle without guilting you into feeling bad. Change the World for a Fiver does all the above with charming illustrations, a wicked little sense of humour & an optimistic belief that if you make the small changes the big ones will follow. In a climate of increasing globalised doom this little book lets you reclaim some of your faith & your conscience by giving you easy-to-do acts. Change the World? Maybe not. But tweak it for the better? Definitely. It’s my stocking filler of choice this year. And at a fiver, great value.
Ps. Buy it direct from their site & they get more of the margin to put back into projects. www.wearewhatwedo.org
change the world for a fiver:what are we to do - By: alice, 22 Jan 2005
This book, although a rather quick read, is an extremely enjoyable one. After reading it i simply had to lend it to my friends so that they could read it. It offers simple suggestions on things to do that can help work towards a better world to live in, from really simple objectives like refusing carrier bags to somewhat larger things such as giving blood. All its suggestions are put forwardin an informative & humourous, yet very simple way. It's one of those books that leaves you feeling happy & inspired once you have finished reading it! A definate worthwhile read.
