Tie it - you'll like it! - By: rackle, 23 Mar 2008
The book is a great way to introduce you and/or partner into the rope bondage scene, It is very clearly laid out, with easy to follow step-by-step instructions on how to tie, & just as important, how to release the knots. The book is divided into several sections, firstly giving some useful hints & tips on the different types of rope out there & the pros & cons of each; this is followed by a guide to doing the do's & don'ts within rope bondage, including safety (very important); the basic knots are then covered; & finally sections on different applications of the specialist knots/positions e.g. dominance bondage or sexual use of knots & positions.
The book is written with a cheeky & fun sense of humour, & is not at all cliqueyin its approach to rope bondage. It does mention that the styles shownin the book are not purely from the art of shibari (Japanese rope bondage): there are some western influences too.
It even has a recommended further reading list, should you wish to delve a little deeper into the scene, or learn more about the particulars.
And should you ever have chance to contact the Two Knotty Boysin real life or via myspace, you'll find that they really are down-to-earth friendly guys that are only too happy to help with queries.
Fantastic !!! - By: ottis, 29 Dec 2007
This is the one to go for. A very easy to read & informative book, the step by step descriptions & photos make it a breeze to follow & the designs are truely stunning! Perfect as a companion to other more wordy books on the subject, and, after reading this book is just a few steps & your imagination away from creating unique designs of your own.
Death to Jay Wiseman - By: A. Smith, 09 Jul 2007
The bondagein this book is very American-style. Plenty of, "let's try to make this look more interesting by puttingin double coin knots everywhere."
The explanations & the pictures are easy to understand. I learned a few things here like the dragonfly sleeve, but most of the info you can find online.
Given the choice between this & Midori's book, I'd choose Midori's. Midori's content is far more useful. She teaches principles that can be applied & adaptedin every situation.
However, given the choice between Two Knotty Boys & anything by Jay Wiseman, I'd buy every copy of anything by Jay Wiseman & burn it! Then I'd buy this one.
I don't know why people rave about Jay Wiseman. His books are awful. Seriously - if you're choosing between this & anything by Jay Wiseman, then definitely choose Two Knotty Boys Showing You the Ropes.

Always looking for new inspiration into BDSM play, I often looks at books, nd buy too many of them. Buying large books with few techniques seems to bemy way. two Knotty boys differs a lot. They deliver exciting new technique for the advanced player, step by step for the newcomer & everybody just love their inspiration, a great tnx for an excellent book.
