coming from a muslim background, much of my school years islamic education was "forced" onto me, without much logical or scientific explaination on why or the historical significance behind it. Now that I am livingin a non-muslim country as a scientist, I feel the need to re-examine my faith & practicein a philosophical & a more scientific approach.

This book is very informative on the "do's & don'ts"in the islamic way of life, as well as good cross references to hadiths & verses from the Quran. The wording may be a bit archaicin parts, but the gist of the information is therein an easily readable format. The table of contents & index are logically sequenced (follows closely to the "Muwatta" by Imam Malik).

Good reference book to have for every muslims & anyone who are interested to familiarise with muslim way of life/culture.
