not great - By: bookbug, 11 Aug 2007
All style & no substance. The recipes are very brief & leave you guessing. Covers all the favourites, but notin any detail. Sorry I wasted the money & I found it a copy of the popular blue covered tourist cookbook availablein every languagein the souvenier shops, so don't buy it if you already have that one!
A comprehensive kitchen shelf filller - By: Gregory Baser, 09 Aug 2007
If you like Greek food you'll love this book.
It tells you what you need & the time you need BUT does not go into huge detail which makes it sutible for the adventerous cook who wants to find their own way to cook Greek food.
It delivers everything, from how to cook fried eggs & cheese to full on bandit meals.
A must for lovers of Greek food
My Review! - By: Scottish Customer, 04 Jul 2007
This is a beautifully illustrated Greek cookbook which contains many real Greek recipes. It has a clear contents listing & recipes are not at all complicated to prepare. This cookbook contains recipes for many of the better-known Greek dishes, & also includes some more unusual recipes like St Fanourious' Yeast Cake. The illustrations are wonderful & this high-quality publication contains so many recipes....Oh, & it's printedin Greece, You can't really get more authentic than that!
Excellent, practical cookbook - By: R. Grant, 18 Feb 2005
I bought this book while on holidayin Greece a few years ago, & since then I have used it a lot. It's very user-friendly, & the dishes turn out the way they are meant to - both visually &in terms of taste. And although I livein Portugal where shopping isn't as cosmopolitan asin some other countries, I've had no problem getting the ingredients.
One of the most frequently used cookbooksin our collection at home, & unconditionally recommended!
