Total rubbish - By: Mr. K. Prior, 08 Dec 2007
The 'book' is stapled A5 sheets & the CDs are just lists of words. If you are capable of remembering 50 words & phrasesin 10 minutes then this might be for you. Otherwise give it a very wide bearth. I was so bored after 5 minutes that I nearly slit my wrists !
Much better material is available for free on the net.
Handy for travellers - By: James McFly, 27 Nov 2007
I bought one of these courses along with several other Polish resources. The phrase book it pocket sized & handy to keep for those conversational emergencies. I used the CDsin my car but obviously you can use them anywhere. The course is a real bargain at the price.
Dissapointed - By: Dale Heath, 26 Jul 2007
This title of this publication is very misleading. It does not give any indication to this so called "Perfect Recall System". It's basically a phrase book. The cd's that come with it are repeated phrases from the very small book provided. The cd,s are one long track so navigating back or forward to a phrase is a nightmare. The only up-side is that at least you can listen to the phrasesin perfect Polish & would be good for maybe a city break.
Handy for travellers, lots on the cds and great price - By: Mike, 22 May 2007
This is a handy guide for the traveller wishing to pickup some of the local language & to help get around. I bought several of these courses & I found after a couple of hours I had learn't some really useful phrases & ready to try them out on my holiday. You get two cds that are full of useful stuff. The book repeats all the key information making it handy to popin your pocket when wandering around. Thumbs up & a great price too!
Disappointing - By: Smudge, 11 May 2007
This wasn't what I was expecting. I wanted a teach yourself polish book with CD so that I could hear native speakers pronouncing the language whilst I worked through exercises. It is actually a very small book with lists of vocab / phrases. There are no exercises to work through which I think is essential for language learning. The print is also very small & not particularly clearin places. I haven't got very far through the CDs because there seems to be no context, just people saying lists out loud. Also note that the book & CD use American English - not necessarily a problemin itself but I prefer to learn languages using British English.
